As the founder of RECON Coaching, Timothy Tharp empowers veterans, first responders, and high-performers to reclaim their direction with tactical clarity and unstoppable purpose. Through his coaching practice, Timothy teaches resilience as both a mindset and a mission—guiding clients to thrive under pressure, adapt to adversity, and lead with confidence. His unique approach blends military precision, executive leadership, and deep personal insight, creating a transformative experience rooted in discipline, purpose, and growth. Whether clients are transitioning from service, navigating high-stakes careers, or seeking renewed direction, Timothy delivers results-driven strategies built on trust, integrity, and action.

In addition to his work as a life coach, Timothy is a retired Air Force veteran and tenured security executive with extensive experience developing top-tier security functions. His passion for safeguarding individuals, organizations, and communities is unparalleled. He is a subject matter expert in cybersecurity, corporate and church security training, active shooter response, and self-defense. Timothy has driven internal change to enhance data and asset protection, mitigate threats, and revitalize neglected security programs. He excels in dynamic, regulated environments where a risk-focused, mission-ready mindset is critical.

With over 25 years of personal protection and fitness experience—including training with elite Israeli security and combat experts—Timothy brings unmatched insight to both physical and digital security. He helped design the security team at his campus church, where he currently serves as head of security. Timothy holds a Master’s degree in Security Management and an MBA in Information Security Management.

Mason Tharp's lifelong focus has been on security. His father, Timothy Tharp, trained him in various areas including cybersecurity, defensive tactics, and combatives.
